| From Our Principal |
Dear Parents,
The teachers, counselors, and administrators will be working together to create class lists for next fall during
the month of April/May. Your involvement can be an important step in the process. If you have information on the
type of learning environment which works best for your child and wish this to be taken into consideration during our
placement process, please write a letter to the assistant principal for your child's grade level for 2009-2010.
Send the letter to the front office to Dr. Ray's attention by Friday, March 27th. If you have more than one child,
please send a SEPARATE letter for each child.
It is important to realize that placement decisions are the responsibility of the administration and that the highest
priority consideration is to maintain a small class size. Also, it is important to remember that many other factors
influence these decisions. These factors include special program inclusion (FOCUS, ESOL, Special Ed.) as well as the
need to maintain a balanced group.
Please be reminded that we will not accept specific requests to have or not to have a specific teacher, but we will
appreciate information you share with us concerning your child's educational needs.
Only letters of this nature and those turned in by the March 27th deadline will be considered.
Sincerely,
Dr. Christopher M. Ray
Principal
