Once again skate night was awesome! Our theme was "Do the Can, Can" and Grayson Students stepped up to the plate and
donated over 250 canned items at skate night! This donation, along with the school wide Community Outreach food drive,
will make a large, healthy supply for the food pantries in Gwinnett. Thank you to all Grayson students for your
continued generosity.
April is April Fool's month, so why not have some fun and be funny at skate night?! Bring your funniest joke, put it
in the joke box and you might be selected to say your joke on GETV! So get wild, get insane and enter our "Don't
worry be happy joke contest today!" Students do not forget to include your name, your teacher's name, and your grade
on your paper. Please type the information or write clearly so it is easy to read.
Wear a funny hat, wear a crazy smile, wear funny glasses, you can see a mile!
Dress a little crazy, look insane, the funniest, craziest student, wins the game!
So come to skate night, for a hilarious night of fun, you just might win the prize, you could be the one!

10 Ways To Help Your Child
DO BETTER on Tests
- Review the subject matter together for upcoming tests.
- Make sure your child gets a good night-s rest before every test.
- Serve your child a light, healthy breakfast on test day.
- Have your child dress comfortably and arrive at school on time.
- Send your child off to school with words of praise and support.
- Suggest that your child do deep breathing exercises to relax before the test begins.
- Tell your child to follow directions carefully and ask questions if something is not clear.
- Advise your child to do the easiest parts of the test first, then the rest.
- Remind your child to check over answers before turning in the test.
- Encourage wanting to do well, but stress that one test won't measure all your child can do.
Remember
Children who love learning are more likely to do better on tests. Instill a positive attitude about school.

From Mrs. Oprysko's Class
Dr. Matt Mazzawi from Mazzawi Family Dentistry in Snellville visited with the kindergarten classes in February in
celebration of Dental Health month. He talked to the students about taking care of their teeth and a career in
dentistry. The children enjoyed his visit and the goody bags he brought each student included a tooth brush,
dental floss, and an activity book about dental health.
Thank you Dr. Matt for coming to Grayson Elementary! He really brightened our smiles! Rose Marie Oprysko
